Airport Travel Tax & Airport Fees

Philippine Nationals are expected to pay for the Philippine Travel Tax upon departure from the Philippines. It is usually paid at the airport upon departure or; oftentimes, already included in the cost of the ticket when purchased. We recommend that you review your ticket to insure that the proper tax has been included in your ticket purchase price.  If the tax has not been paid and posted to your ticket you can purchase the tax online, or at the airport. Airport counters are staffed 24/7 at NAIA. Counters are located at the front of terminal between the luggage scanners or if traveling out of Term 3, Travel Tax is on the 3rd floor next to CFO office.

US Nationals and Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders) are exempt from the Philippine Travel Tax. US Permanent Residents need to secure a Travel Tax Exemption Certificate from the Philippine Tourism Authority at the Department of Tourism Building at TM Kalaw Street, Ermita Manila. The Philippine Travel Tax is PHP1,620.00 (approximately $35.00).  Minors (from 2 years and one (1) day to 12th birthday on date of travel) - PHP 810,00.

All passengers departing from the NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) are expected to pay the Airport Terminal Fee of PHP750.00 (approximately $17.00). No one is exempt from paying the Airport Terminal Fee.

Effective 01 November 2014 (deferred from 1 October 2014), the Philippine Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) implemented the International Passenger Service Charge Integration Program, i.e., the IPSC – commonly known as the airport terminal fee – shall be incorporated into the cost of airline tickets at point of sale.

The integration will be implemented simultaneously by all airlines worldwide and shall also cover passengers transiting Manila to any destination point.
