Police Clearance
Police clearance is only required for the embassy visa process, IF you have lived in a foreign country for 6 mos. or more from the age of 16 or older. If you have not lived outside the Philippines more than 6 months you can skip this step. You do not need a police clearance.
If you have lived outside the Philippines, then you will need to secure a police clearance from each of those countries that you have lived in for more than six months. Again, if you have never lived anywhere but the Philippines the police clearance is not needed.
Here is a link to the info regarding Police Certificates. Some countries will not issue a police certificate except in person so the police certificate is waived for those countries by the US Embassy. Using the drop down box, enter the foreign city that you lived in for more than six months. Once your country’s information is displayed, locate the "police certificate/record" category. Select the link and follow the directions.
